Strange googling.
Published July 17th, 2006 in Ridiculous Prime, RememberedSo I follow my page hits, like everyone else. Usually it’s just people who know my URL and type it in on occasion (thanks to all of you who read this blog). But recently, I’ve been noticing people hitting my site by googling I feel so crazy. Incidentally, Impossible to Work is the top ranked link for that query.
People feel crazy all the time, so it’s not so surprising to see that people are googling this phrase. What’s strange is that these people are coming from all over the world, and seemingly without any relation to one another. As I am remembering, the first few people to come to my site via this query were in Germany. But then, Hungarians started clicking followed by someone in Singapore. Now, French people. Seriously, the phrase “I feel so crazy” has brought me more international readers than anything else.
It’s all inconsequential, but what a massive letdown for these people. They’re probably looking for something about feeling crazy, and all I have to offer them is a write up of a Sonic Youth concert. So I’d just like to apologize to all of you who wanted to read about how crazy I feel (or have felt or will feel) and instead had to read about Sonic Youth.
Mea culpa.
